Self-portrait trick
Here's a cool trick I learned from Kenner -- let's say you want to take a quick self-portrait for MyBook or FaceSpace or whatever you kids are into these days. But you're at work, and who wants their boring old cubical office in the background? No one, that's who. So, put that office chair to good use and... spin!

This "Kenner" fellow sounds really, really cool. We should all try to be a lot more like him.

easy enough to understand the blur behind you, but how do you hold the camera steady enough to keep you in focus?

Nothing special, I just held it out at arms length. I mean, the chair's not bucking or anything -- if anything, centripidal force kinda helps keep the camera steady with a steady tug straight away from my body.
