Prairie dog

Yesterday we visited a pet store that had prairie dogs. Evidently you can't buy or sell (or move) them, but you can have them.

Prairie dogs are still under a Center for Disease Control ban -- they can't be bought or sold anywhere in the US.

The ban was lifted in 2008, they're legal to be bought and sold in the US with the exception of a few states. Check your local laws.
