Forgotten Heroes: McGuillicutty II from Fuzzy Gerdes on Vimeo.
genre: action-comedy
running time: 3:26
completed: October 2003
directed: Fuzzy Gerdes
featuring: Sean Cusick, Fuzzy Gerdes, Brian Goodman, and Shaun Himmerick
music: Ben Taylor
Synopsis:
Joe McGuillicutty spares the life of his archnemesis because of his "cop ways". Rejecting his badge for 48 hours, Joe pursues his enemy down Lake Shore Drive, searches for him in the underbelly of Hyde Park, and to a final confrontation in China Town.
Nominally a sequel to Ted McGillicutty, Man of Action, Forgotten Heroes was also filmed for the Fast Forward Film Festival. We were given the suggestion of an old movie poster tag line: "When the heroes are forgotten. When the stakes are life and death. There’s one stand you’ve got to take. There’s one rule you’ve got to break." We created an entire action movie, taking place all over Chicago, compressed into 3 and a half minutes.
Trivia:
Somehow, the name McG[u]illicutty acquired a "u" between parts one and two. Oops.
