It’s the last episode from our live appearance at the 2013 Chicago Sketch Fest at Stage 773, but not the last episode of Season 8—next week we start some shows filmed live at Watershed, one of our favorite bars in Chicago. But this week, Jen and Erica finish off the fest by trying some tiny bottles of Dr. McGillicuddy’s Intense Apple Pie Liqueur.

Calvados Pays d'Auge Venerable is an apple brandy from France and, spoiler alert, Jen and Erica like it. Thanks to our friend Peter for the gift of the bottle.

Drunk Monkeys - Episode 14 - Schönauer Apfel.
Jen and Erica are drinking Schönauer Apfel, a German apple schnapps or "Apfelkorn Liqueur". Please don't give this drink to your children. Erica was kidding. Mostly. But don't.
1 shot of Apple Schnapps*
1 slice of lemon
1 spoonful of sugar
dash of cinnamon
Combine in mug. Fill with hot water.
Nothing fancy, just warming and delicious.
* I used Schönauer Apfel, "Imported from Germany", but I'm sure any non-Pucker Apple Schnapps will do.
