Drunk Monkeys - Episode 34 - Hum (Live!).

It's our second episode from the live show we did at the Chicago Women's Funny Festival. Jen and Erica are drinking Hum, a new botanical liqueur developed by Chicago mixologist Adam Seger.

Drunk Monkeys - Episode 33 - Live! Chicago Women's Funny Festival.

This is the first podcast episode coming from our live show at the Chicago Women's Funny Festival. It's a little departure from our usual structure, as there's very little drinking except for shots of Malört and Girl that Jen and Erica do at the top of the show, but Jen talks about Disaronno and the origin of the show and it's funny. Next week, we have some actual reviews from the live show.

Drunk Monkeys - Episode 32 - Cocktail Time! Sazerac.

It's come up a number of times on the show, so Erica shows Jen how to make a Sazerac.

Drunk Monkeys - Episode 31 - Creme de Cassis.

Jen and Erica are drinking a rather old bottle of DuBouchett Creme de Cassis, a black currant liqueur.

Drunk Monkeys - Episode 30 - Calvados Pays d'Auge.

Calvados Pays d'Auge Venerable is an apple brandy from France and, spoiler alert, Jen and Erica like it. Thanks to our friend Peter for the gift of the bottle.

Drunk Monkeys - Episode 29 - Bakon Vodka.

Jen and Erica try Bakon, the bacon flavored vodka. A Michelada, which Erica mentions, is beer, lime juice, and tomato juice. We like to substitute bloody mary mix for the tomato juice, for a bit of a kick.

Don't forget that this upcoming Wednesday is the first live Drunk Monkeys episode-taping, as part of the Chicago Women's Funny Festival. The show will be on Wednesday, June 6th at 10pm at Stage 773. Drunk Monkeys - Episode 28 - Pinnacle Cake Vodka

Jen and Erica had such a great time with Pinnacle's Cookie Dough Vodka that they just had to try Cake Vodka. Especially since Rebecca gave them a bottle.

Drunk Monkeys - Episode 27 - Maker's White.

This week, Jen and Erica are drinking another moonshine (or "white dog")--Maker's White. I hate to have to correct the ladies, but Erica refers to Maker's White as a whiskey a couple of times. It's not. As I learned from Death's Door White Whisky, it has to age in barrels for at least 72 hours to qualify as a whiskey. Maker's White makes no such pit stop.
