Drunk Monkeys - A Few Words About Watershed Bar from Fuzzy Gerdes on Vimeo.
It’s not really a full episode, but Jen and Erica wanted to say thanks to Watershed Bar, where we filmed the last two live episodes.
And now we have to take a brief hiatus until we can film some episodes. But it will be soon, we promise!
Drunk Monkeys - Episode 59 - Koval Paw Paw Liqueur.
It’s our second live episode from one of our favorite bars, Watershed in downtown Chicago. This time, Jen and Erica are sampling Koval Paw Paw Liqueur, which Watershed uses in a cocktail called “I Do Declare!”: Taildragger Amber Rum, Averna, Koval Paw Paw, Lemon.
Drunk Monkeys - Episode 58 - North Shore Silver Lining.
Live from Watershed, Jen and Erica are trying the limited release North Shore Silver Lining, an American Kräuter liqueur.
Drunk Monkeys - Episode 57 - Dr. McGillicuddy’s Apple Pie Liqueur.
It’s the last episode from our live appearance at the 2013 Chicago Sketch Fest at Stage 773, but not the last episode of Season 8—next week we start some shows filmed live at Watershed, one of our favorite bars in Chicago. But this week, Jen and Erica finish off the fest by trying some tiny bottles of Dr. McGillicuddy’s Intense Apple Pie Liqueur.

Drunk Monkeys - Episode 46 - Kinky Liqueur.
The sale of half-pint and miniature bottles of liquor is illegal in Chicago and so we took advantage of a trip to the suburbs to get some “sample size” bottles. Kinky Liqueur, a mango, blood orange, and passion fruit infused vodka, is the first of those that Jen and Erica are trying.
Drunk Monkeys - Episode 34 - Hum (Live!).
It's our second episode from the live show we did at the Chicago Women's Funny Festival. Jen and Erica are drinking Hum, a new botanical liqueur developed by Chicago mixologist Adam Seger.
Erica's shirt: Drink Coffee, Drink Whiskey.
Drunk Monkeys - Episode 31 - Creme de Cassis.
Jen and Erica are drinking a rather old bottle of DuBouchett Creme de Cassis, a black currant liqueur.
Drunk Monkeys - Episode 23 - Jeppson's Malort.
We started out our third 'season' with the very girly Girl and now we round it out with a hardcore wormwood liqueur, Chicago's own Jeppson's Malört. As Jen notes, many people have a strong reaction to their first shot of Malört, but it's been gaining something of a cult following over the last few years. Even though it's a sign of the end times.
So now we'll be taking a little bit of a break until we film our next season. This is a great time to remind you that you can subscribe to the show in iTunes and then when we do release new episodes they'll just show up on your computer or iThing like magic. Magic, I tell you. (And, you know, if you wanted to give us a five-star rating, that wouldn't be terrible, either. Magic!)
Drunk Monkeys - Episode 22 - Cocktail Time! Eldergin Fizz.
Erica shows Jen how to use the Eldergin from last week's episode to make a variation of a Sloe Gin Fizz.
When Erica references Girl, she's talking about Girl Liqueur from Episode 17. And the Sodastream really is a great addition to any kitchen.
At 3:27 you can see what happens when you let the camera operator have tastes of all the liquor in a Drunk Monkeys taping.
Eldergin Fizz
2 1/2 oz Eldergin
1 oz lemon juice
1/2 simple syrup
Shake with ice. Strain into an ice-filled collins glass. Top with club soda.
