I've been watching so many bad scifi movies lately and Van Helsing fits right into the mold. It's a big, dumb, over-the-top monster-fighting adventure. And... I liked it. It grew on me. I mean, it's still dumb, but it was a fun dumb.

Wow, you are the only person I know that will admit to liking this. Personally, I loved the concept, but hated the execution. It's Sommers worst movie for sure, and IMO one of the worst movies ever. It's right up there with Ghost Rider and Save the Last Dance 2.
FWIW, I liked GI Joe way better than Van Helsing.

Wow. Yeah, color me also surprised someone admits to liking it. I really wanted to like this as a guilty pleasure movie but I couldn't handle it. I thought it was the kind of bad that made me embarrassed for everyone in it.
