The Outliers were started in the Fall of 1996 by Benjamin Wachs. For two years Ben was our writer, producer, editor, engineer, etc. etc. In October 1998, Ben left West Lafayette and the Outliers. Fuzzy Gerdes took over as jack-of-all-radio at the helm of the Outliers. Then he moved to Chicago in May of 1999.
