I always forget that Bike the Drive is coming up and then regret afterwards that I didn’t do it. It is, of course, cool to bike in the place where usually cars are zooming, but also if you’re training for any kind of biking event, it’s your one chance in Chicago to have 30 miles of road with no stop lights and no pedestrians walking out in front of you. Fortunately this year Dan reminded me of the event and we got out for a single loop from Bryn Mawr to MSI and back. It was an easy 30 miles and a nice confirmation for me that my Olympic-distance triathlon this summer wouldn’t be painful even if I didn’t get in a lot of hours on the bike (marathon and swim training have been taking up most of my training time). Thanks, Dan!
