Sorry about the sound quality: we recorded this in a car driving down the highway. This is the third of three podcasts we recorded that day, recorded just after we finished the last race: the Channahon Park District’s Frosty 5 Mile, held in Channahon, Illinois.
The river that Fuzzy couldn’t identify was the Des Plaines River.

Sorry about the sound quality: we recorded this in a car racing down the highway while sleet poured down. This is the second of three podcasts we recorded that day, recorded just after we finished the second race: the Muddy Monk’s Frozen Five, held in Poplar Creek Forest Preserve, Hoffman Estates, Illinois. The race was a 5.3 mile trail run (the course was lengthened because the original 5 mile route was determined to be unsafe from the weather).

We ran one of our favorite 5Ks - the Day of the Dead-themed Carrera de los Muertos in the Pilsen neighborhood of Chicago.
To Erica’s point, in the show, about supplying women’s shirts, out of 2843 finishers of this race, almost two-thirds (1723) were women.
