Nearly every organized race I’ve run has been in partnership with a charity or two, so I’ve been passively contributing to good causes in that way for years. But this year I’m doing something a little more active, as part of training for the Chicago Marathon, I’m fund-raising for Misericordia Home, a residence and network of services for people with developmental disabilities that is headquartered just a short run from my house.
My goal is to raise $1000 for Misericordia—if we raise $1200, I get a big cookie from Misericordia’s great bakery and I’ll definitely share :-)
