13 Little Blue Envelopes starts with a notion that fits easily into an elevator pitch: Ginny’s Aunt Peg has died and left her thirteen envelopes, each with instructions for a task to complete before opening the next one. A sort of artistic scavenger hunt; a young adult P.S. I Love You. But the book is much more interesting than just that plot, and there’s a lot of interesting stuff here about art and love and growing up.
