Sometimes I wonder if an attempted explanation would make us sound crazier than simply noting that over the weekend we put Parker in dog shoes for a while. Not so that she could go outside, but just so she could lay on the couch wearing them. Because... oh, never mind.

I TOTALLY understand the motivation for putting dog shoes on Parker. After all, we put a bird in a baggie, in a basket, in a bottle, etc.
Parker is absolutely lovely in her dog shoes. My question is, why do you have dog shoes?

Hey, around here (Duluth, Minnesota and vicinity) it would be cruel to let your pet out of the house without foot protection. A local kid decided to uphold his family tradition of running around the block barefoot during the half time of the Superbowl, even though it was 30 below, and he darn near lost his feet doing it. He will be on crutches for the next 8 weeks and may lose part of his feet anyway.
Carry on.
