Sorry about the sound quality: we recorded this in a car driving down the highway. This is the third of three podcasts we recorded that day, recorded just after we finished the last race: the Channahon Park District’s Frosty 5 Mile, held in Channahon, Illinois.
The river that Fuzzy couldn’t identify was the Des Plaines River.

This is the second of three podcasts we recorded that day, recorded just after we finished the second race: the Muddy Monk’s Frozen Five, held in Poplar Creek Forest Preserve, Hoffman Estates, Illinois. The race was a 5.3 mile trail run (the course was lengthened because the original 5 mile route was determined to be unsafe from the weather).

We ran one of our favorite 5Ks - the Day of the Dead-themed Carrera de los Muertos in the Pilsen neighborhood of Chicago.
To Erica’s point, in the show, about supplying women’s shirts, out of 2843 finishers of this race, almost two-thirds (1723) were women.
